    Details of task accomplishment as per the DPR of DIET Kamrup for the Centre of Excellence (CoE) initiative of MoE, GoI

    Date : 25/3/2025

    Note: In the DPR, submitted in the month of August 2024, the entire activities including infrastructure, administrative and academic were planned and taken up in line with the six pillar notified in the concept note of MoE on DIET as Institute of Excellence under the CoE initiative.

    Pillar Name 1: Infrastructure and ICT Resource Support (including Library, Physical Education Facility and Green Campus)

    Administrative Updates For the pillar 1, designated committee and cells are constituted in the month of August, 2024 as follows – Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Infrastructure Committee, ICT Resource Support Committee, Library Committee, Green Campus Committee, Committee for Physical Education Facilities, Eco Club, Grievance Redressal Cell etc.Collaborative works in TEIMS portal of SCERT, Samarth Portal of DHE etc. is going smoothly. All data updation process is made streamlinedProper file management practices are ensured with each committee and cell/center/council etc.
    Academic Updates ICT: Training programme on energized textbook.E Content Production workshop.Peer Mentoring Programme for hands on practices on ICT among the in-service teachers.E-Content production for DIKSHA and PM-E Vidya Library:Workshop on digital Library (Online Mode)- Resource Person: Dr. Dhrubajyoti Borgohain,Librarian,Nandanath Saikia College.TitaborAddition of braille book, e.g Hemkosh package and its training work.New Book purchased.Website redesigned along with library management procedure.

We already have online admission system.Studio (Namely – Rupalim) with all sorts of sound facilities installed. Some other necessary items will be purchased in the FY to come.Pre-existing ICT hub is repairedComputer and printer purchased.Facilitated with digital interactive board, projector etc.
    Branding Work: All campus signage installed, e.g : No Parking, Parking, No littering, No tobacco declaration, No single use plastic, committee and cell details, Welcome pillar with logo. Physical Education Facilities: Indoor Gym set up is ready.Outdoor gym installed and ready.Purchased many sports item like gymnastics, football, volleyball, javelin, drum etc. Green Campus: Rainwater Harvesting plant installed.Solar energy plant installed.Information boards related to green campus are being installed.Gardening work and its management are going on.The trainees also take up gardening works also.Fishery is getting ready with pisciculture work.

    Pillar No 2: Empowering Teachers

    Administrative Updates Works in distinguishing Training need and school support are going onTraining need analysis is being piloted in Karara Educational Block, other DIET Block i/cs are also instructed to proceed.Feedback Management of each academic programs are being startedSpecial Lab school initiatives are keptRegular follow up activities related to school education. Block I/Cs from DIET are instructed to regularly keep coordination with their respective block in each blockDistrict Academic Core Group (DACG) meeting and Block Academic Core Group (BACG) meetings are regularly organized. It is outcome based as per guideline of the MD, Samagra Shiksha.All sorts of activity are being documented and flashed in the official domain on regular basis. This is looking after by the IQAC.For the regular teacher education course management, the administrative and academic coordinators are engaged since its inception. We have B.Ed course under Gauhati University and D.EL.Ed course under SCERT, Assam. Apart from these courses, conducted 6 months certificate course on ECCE for the Anganwadi Workers as a collaborative task of Education department and department of women and child development.For smooth conduct of the teacher education areas, we have notified cells with all sorts of responsibilities like Research and Development, Indian Knowledge System, Institute’s Innovation CouncilTrangja Project – a special initiative of adopting village at Umsur (near Jimiri Gaon Road) in the South Kamrup region at Assam –Meghalaya Boarder. Tasks covered School support, IKS, Ullas initiative of GoI, Documentation of traditional knowledge etc.
    As per the DPR, following are the precise point kept and ensured – Strategic plan and module for training along with proper resources. Proper slot management as well as training calendarQuality of trainings to monitor through Training Management System built by DIET Kamrup, MirzaTraining Quality Assurance Cell along with IQAC of the institute will look after every aspects of a training providedFeedback mechanismNormalisation of training and other capacity building exercise with District Mission Coordinator, so that teachers can focus more on teaching-learning, not on so called photophilic activities.Regular monitoring of school internship programs of the trainees by the mentor. Attendance is regularly monitored with GPS photos in the WhatsApp group.Continuous professional development of faculties are ensured with equal participation.Regular support to SCERT Assam.Meghdoot, the newsletter of DIET Kamrup is publishing regularlyPublishing wall magazines, hand written magazine on regular basis. In- house initiative.
    Academic Updates Training Programme on different areas as per the DPR declaration.Also there is provision to address the need based training as well as capacity building programme.Flagship programme for empowering teachers are going on smoothly, details are as follows ( Kept in the DPR as ongoing activities) –Ei Mahor Atithi – Guest of the month since 2021.Mission Silverfish – Reading enhancement programme in the lab schools since 2021.In-House Seminar – Sharing of learnings among the in-house public after getting a new training by any faculty. Paper presentation task is entrusted under this initiative since 2021.Manthan – Exposure visit program since 2021Alumni Talk – Talk with the alumni involved in various works, Since 2023Aranyani Senani- Eco-Volunteer initiative in three schools of Kamrup under Rani and Rampur Block namely, Umsur LPS, Nagaon LPS, Loharghat Pmshree MV School.Nandanik : A program on art-integrated pedagogy, initially started in the lab school, now it is expanded to other schools too. Apart from all these programs, we have conducted many workshops, training etc on regular basis. Collaborative works are also going on regularly with SSA Kamrup and IS/DEEO Office.     Functional Assessment Checklist for Programming (FACP) to be set for school for inclusivity as well as special education. FACP is the standard tool used in the school for educational assessment. Need and ability of the identified child and various special educational techniques to be sorted out.

    Certificate course on Special Education for school teachers

    Focus on categories of Special Education like – Autism, emotional disturbance, mental health, learning difficulties-disabilities, speech or language impairment, multiple disabilities, orthopaedic impairment, other health impairment, visual impairment, deafness, hearing impairment, cognition, developmental delays, applied behaviour analysis etc.

    Pillar 4: Research and Evidence-Based Practices
